7 Super Simple Ways to have more joy in your life whilst manifesting your dream life & success.

It’s August, and we are in full summer vibes over hear whilst kind of melting at the same time. The long summer nights and early sunrises are so worth it though, as well as the sneaky ice cream here and there of course.

I was just journaling on my next quantum leap and imagining myself in my future apartment with air conditioning for a start, when I thought why not share with you how you can still show up, enjoy and love the current life you have now.

In my previous blog, I walked you through how to find your dream life and vision if you are not crystal clear yet, go back to that exercise first and then come back here.

One of the biggest problems I find my clients struggle with is enjoying their life whilst waiting for their dream life to come to fruition and all their efforts to pay off. That’s totally understandable since quantum leaping is no easy feat and the to do lists and overwhelm can quickly pile up no matter how much you love your goals.

So what can we do more of in the present to be in that energy now instead of waiting until “When I have it…” “When it’s easier…”?

Why it matters


Knowing your goals, dream life and what you want no matter how exact is useless unless you FEEL and BELIEF that you already have and are everything you want.

What do I mean by that?

So you want the dream home. The freedom based business. More time for yourself and family.

It’s on your vision board, but have you considered how you want to feel in this future version of yourself and life?

By creating and evoking those feelings now you will be on the same energetic level as what you want to attract.

For example, someone who feels free and calm now, will attract more of this and ultimately create their future self and life from this energy. As opposed to someone who is desperate, frustrated and tired of waiting. That energy is so low and not in the least bit attractive and as result you will repel the things you want so much.

Wanting in the first place suggests that you lack it, but if you come from an energy and feeling of already having it whilst taking the action we discussed last month, it will come to you sooner or later.

So with that said, what are the emotions and feelings you want to experience in your dream life?

For me it looks like calm, peace, ease and joy and I create these every day as much as I can using the tips I am going to share with you.

But one last thing, remember we are all different, so whilst these tips may help you, there are many others that may bring you more peace and joy and work better for you. Experiment, be free and have fun this summer finding out what makes you feel those emotions and feelings you want.

7 simple changes I made to have more joy NOW


You may not have time to do them all in one day (I know I don’t), but carve out little segments of your day, week, month to make time to experience how you want to feel.

  • Meditating (even 10-20 minutes)


I usually do this before going to sleep, firstly because it seems to ensure a great sleep and when I wake up the next day I am full of energy, have fewer thoughts bothering me and just generally feel more peace.

You can also do guided meditations to feel different emotions. You can search on YouTube “guided meditation for calm” for example and I am sure thousands will come up. I particularly like this series with Jason Stephenson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cg-xBNpDRw

Meditating has been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety, negative thoughts and stress, so it’s pretty much a sure fire way to feel better. It can take a while to switch off and relax and just focus on the meditation, but once you do it will be worth it.

  • Walking/Exercise


Just getting out of the house has huge benefits instead of spending all day locked in your office and then crashing on the sofa as soon as you get home. If you don’t have time during the day, go out in the evening for about 40 minutes, if you live near a park, a forest or any natural area - bonus points! Being in nature is so powerful and can detox our minds and bodies!

There is so much research that has proven these benefits, so why are we all resisting it? No matter what the weather, or how you feel, you WILL feel better afterwards.

I’m personally starting with 4-5 days a week and even after a few days I can tell the difference from the days when I do nothing (which is rare now because why would you want to do that to yourself?).   • Cleaning eating


Yes, that’s right. I know you don’t want to hear it, but by cutting out the sugar, alcohol, carbs…You’ll have so much more energy, a better mood and get up and go. You can still have an occasionally cookie; I usually treat myself after completing a big project or at the weekends.

A recent article in the New York Times explains this in detail. Don’t forget the drinks too. I always read the ingredients label and you would be surprised how much rubbish there is in well everything that is not natural basically.



  • Gratitude

Another powerful tool to help you focus on the positive emotions you want to experience now. The more you can be grateful for everything, the more you train your brain to be happy and focus on that instead of what you don’t have.

We spoke a lot about this one in the previous blog, but remember your brain does not know the difference between real and imaginary, so imagine yourself as the calm, business owner helping others and doing what she loves, living her dream life and feeling all the feelings she has.

Research has constantly shown that even world athletes use this technique to see and feel themselves winning the competitions and it works.

  • Little things

Recently, I treated myself to a plant because it makes me feel calm and brings a sense of serene to my office and apartment. I bought 400 thread count cotton sheets and silk pillow cases from Zara Home and wake up feeling so good and go to bed feeling bliss every night. Find the little things that work for you and indulge in the moments every day to create that joy and inner peace you deserve.

When I lived outside of Spain, like in China and Costa Rica for instance, I used to go to Zara Home just to smell it because it reminds me of home (Spain, not England - for some reason there are no little things I miss about England =D)

  • Morning Routine

This has been a total game changer. Years ago, I didn’t even know what a morning routine was and just snoozed, forced myself out of bed and went to work without breakfast, water or anything. I was not a happy bunny back then!

Now, (ideally) I get up at 5.30am drink half a liter of water, preferably ginger infused or with fresh lemon, take a shot of aloe vera and do 30-40 minutes of a pilates or yoga workout. This is still a work in progress when it comes to consistency, but I can promise you that when I do do it, I feel 1000% better. Then I take out Nancy, have a cold shower (this also makes a difference even in winter!) and have a high protein breakfast. At about 7am, I go to my desk and journal, set my intentions for the day and write my gratitudes whilst drinking my freshly brewed coffee - bonus tip for joy: Get a coffee machine from bean to cup (OMG) I barely go to cafés anymore now at least for coffee.

The Results of my experiment…


So much more peace, joy, freedom, calm. Don’t underestimate all the inner work I did though. These routines and hacks are amazing and really work, but if we still have lingering beliefs, negative emotions we are holding on to, they may not be as effective.

So I would also recommend implementing these with coaching for support and rewiring tools to really get your brain working for you and nervous system regulated. That has been the real game changer without a doubt.
